We are looking for a Web design intern for spring 2012. A really good one. Yes this will be a paid position. Here are the details:
Web design interns may assist in the design and development of engaging content pages and images for websites, perform Web updates and maintenance, or contribute to Web-based applications. The ideal candidate should be passionate about all aspects of graphic design, demonstrate a good understanding of layout and content organization principles, and have fundamental understanding of HTML/CSS.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, and planning to return to school following the internship
- Knowledge of standards-compliant HTML, CSS, and browser compatibility issues
- Expertise using Photoshop
- Demonstrated understanding of artistic and Web design principles
- Understanding of information flow, readability, and interface usability design principles
- Passion for user interface and webpage graphic design
- Ability to work within and build upon Two Paperdolls’ art style
- Able to commit to 20 hours a week in the Wayne office
PLUSES:
- Majoring in a related field (web design, art, graphic design, computer science, human computer interaction, user experience, etc.)
- Understanding of jQuery (javascript library), LESS (css preprocessor) and GIT (version control)
- Experience in WordPress or Drupal theming
- Interest in the social invitation industry
