Nope – it isn’t root beer! But it is delicious!!!
ROOT is a bourbon-like drink that is the creation of the very talented group Art in the Age. Marketed as the “First truly authentic American liqueur since the Pre-Prohibition Era”, this stuff will really knock your socks off. (Read the full history here). Root is made from all organic ingredients (like birch bark, sassafras and nutmeg) – so stock up for the Holidays. You can go to their site and check out their bar locator (pretty handy!) Great blog, and web site–it was awesome to stumble on it while looking for inspiration on design. Art in the Age is a great store–I bought the Stephen Powers Love Letter book, and an original design t-shirt there as well for a young cousin’s congratulations present. I saw the Ginger SNAP in their window last night while I was walking by in Old City too… Anyway, it’s great to have a taste-testing review! I’ll have to pick some up to try it with friends.
