Over the past several months we have been meeting with brides who want a return to the classic wedding invitation. Sometimes the hardest invitation to design is one that has little or no design at all. The type must stand on its own and look just as beautiful as a large design motif or a flood of color. However, having black type on a white card can sometimes feel too harsh, so here are just a few examples of how gray, brown or even navy can replace black ink on your wedding stationery.
In my opinion, sports and Philadelphia are very difficult to separate. Love us or hate us, we are a passionate town when it comes to our teams. I read very few blogs throughout the year, but as baseball gets into full swing I find myself wandering for something to quench my thirst.
Although, I found a few beautiful sports blog examples:
Chitwood and Hobbs: http://chitwoodandhobbs.com/
The Arsenal Blog: http://arseblog.com/
Sports and Times: http://www.sportsandtimes.com/
but overwhelmingly, I have come to ask this question: Why is that blogs about sports are horrible to look at?
So this year I would like to challenge my fellow sports-lover-designers to step up to the plate. Let’s no longer ignore the aesthetic difficulties of our fellow fans. I challenge us to create beautiful presentations, that capture the emotion, sweat and comradery of these great pastimes that we love.
And in the spirit of competition, send us your before and after screen shots. We will post the results and send the best redesign a Rivalry and Pretzel Tee from our store.
Did I miss a kick ass designed sports blog? Let me know: @GregPAsh

Surely you’ve already heard of Tattly, a darling company who makes temporary tattoos for the design-minded. As creator Tina Roth Eisenberg puts it, “Life is too short to drink bad wine and wear ugly temporary tattoos. Right?” Our thoughts exactly, Tina! Here are some of their newest designs. Wouldn’t they be perfect to hide in eggs for an Easter egg hunt? And check out their blog to see creative ways people are “hacking” their Tattlys to make new designs.
Last Thursday, we had the pleasure of partnering with Terrain and some seriously talented individuals for an evening preview of the new event space at Styer’s. The evening’s lineup included fanciful floral arrangements by Sullivan Owen, photography from our beloved Alison Conklin, delectable sweets from coco love homemade and Little Baby’s Ice Cream, a party apparel preview from BHLDN, event design by Terrain, and some spiffy custom stationery from your very own Two Paperdolls. Not to mention some signature cocktails from our good friends at Art in the Age! Two Paperdolls contributed original invitation suites geared towards five separate wedding styles, specially crafted for that magical event you’ve always dreamt of. Here are some photos from the event. Enjoy and here’s wishing you a week to remember!
